Advice for Road Runners: The Novablast 2 from ASICS in the Lake Drive/Ice Mint colourway has a few tweaks from the first edition to make your runs feel even more dynamic. This soft yet incredibly bouncy running shoe is great for energetic runs and mixing it up with HIIT and gym sessions.

The Flytefoam Blast cushioning gives an ultra-light and springy feel underfoot and now has a wider base for increased stability as you bounce. Designed to give a trampoline effect as you run, the energy return is enhanced by a groove pattern in the midsole that improves elasticity in the foam.

Experience balanced landings and a smooth and stable feel with the addition of a TPU heel stabiliser at the rear. A guidance line on the outsole also helps to guide the foot as you run for a consistent stride. The premium upper of the Novablast 2 is made using a double jacquard mesh and has been updated with a new gusseted tongue for enhanced fit across the midfoot.

The Novablast 2 is a super springy running shoe, great for tempo paces and mixed workouts. The lively yet soft feel of this shoe makes for a perfect running all-rounder.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
